  1. The Role

Mada Media, a leading privately-owned outdoor media entity in Dubai, is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to lead revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and new business opportunities across the media and advertising sector.

The role is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting business opportunities that support Mada Media's commercial growth objectives. The Director of Business Development will focus on expanding the company's B2B client base, building strong relationships with agencies, brands, partners, and key stakeholders, and driving revenue through direct sales, strategic partnerships, and programmatic advertising opportunities.

This position requires a commercially driven leader with strong experience in media, advertising, outdoor media, and digital/programmatic solutions. The successful candidate will be accountable for achieving financial targets, growing market presence, and strengthening Mada Media's position as a leading media partner in the UAE.

  1. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the business development strategy to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
  • Identify and pursue new B2B business opportunities across brands, media agencies, advertising agencies, government-related entities, and strategic partners.
  • Build, manage, and grow a strong pipeline of qualified business opportunities aligned with company financial targets.
  • Lead client acquisition efforts, including prospecting, pitching, negotiation, proposal development, and deal closure.
  • Develop strategic partnerships that create new revenue streams and support Mada Media's long-term growth.
  • Drive growth in outdoor media, digital media, and programmatic advertising opportunities where relevant.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers, agencies, advertisers, partners, and key market stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, advertiser demand, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure business proposals are commercially viable and aligned with operational capabilities.
  • Represent Mada Media in client meetings, industry events, networking forums, and partnership discussions.
  • Track business development performance, pipeline conversion, revenue forecasts, and achievement against targets.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for senior leadership on business development activity, revenue opportunities, and market insights.
  • Ensure all business development activities align with Mada Media's vision, values, policies, and ethical standards.
  1. Your Background
  • Strong track record in achieving revenue growth, financial targets, and business development objectives.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, partnerships, or revenue generation within media, advertising, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the advertising market, preferably including out-of-home media, digital media, and programmatic advertising.
  • Established network across brands, media agencies, advertising agencies, and relevant market stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, negotiate effectively, and close high-value business deals.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand client needs and convert them into business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confident public speaker with the ability to represent the company professionally in external meetings and events.
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance against KPIs.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, competitor activity, risks, and opportunities to support business growth.
  • High level of personal accountability, ownership, and commitment to achieving results.
  1. Key Requirements
Essential
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 10-12 years of relevant work experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or commercial growth.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience within media, advertising, outdoor media, digital advertising, or related industries.
  • Prior experience at Director or Senior Manager level with responsibility for revenue growth and financial targets.
  • Strong B2B sales experience with a proven ability to build and close business opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge of the UAE advertising and media market.
  • Experience working with brands, media agencies, advertising agencies, and strategic partners.
  • Programmatic advertising experience or understanding is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage.
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
  • Existing network within the UAE media, advertising, agency, and brand ecosystem.
