Job Description

We are hiring APLO (Appointed Person for Lifting Operations)

Job Functions:

• Supervise lifting operations to ensure they are carried out according to the planned procedures and safety guidelines.
• Ensure that all lifting equipment is properly maintained and inspected regularly to meet safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of lifting operations, including equipment inspection reports, lift plans, and incident reports and ensure that all necessary inspection/test certificates are available.
• Briefing all lifting team members on the Lifting Plan, risk control measure and safe lifting procedure before the commencement of any lifting operation.
• Ensure that only registered crane operators, appointed riggers and appointed signalmen to participate in any lifting operation involving the use of mobile and tower cranes.
• Select appropriate lifting equipment (e.g., cranes) based on the load and site conditions and ensure that the lift is carried out following the plan and suspends the lift if changes or conditions (e.g. wind) occur that would cause a deviation from the plan.
• Prepared to respond to incidents or accidents involving lifting equipment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• LEEA-certified (Appointed Person – Lifting Operations) is mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years experience in a UAE contracting company.
• Strong understanding of lifting operations safety standards and regulations
• Knowledge of relevant tools and equipment for lifting operations.
