Job Title: Assistant Manager - Logistics (Marine Services, Oil & Gas)
Location: Dubai

Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee and coordinate logistics operations, including marine transportation, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring timely delivery of goods and personnel to marine terminals and offshore locations.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with UAE and international regulations, including customs and safety requirements. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of shipping, customs, and other relevant documentation.
  • Inventory & Risk Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, implement inventory control measures, and identify and mitigate risks related to transportation, customs, and logistics disruptions.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations.
  • Vendor & Service Provider Management: Establish and maintain relationships with logistics service providers, assist in contract negotiations, and monitor third-party performance.
  • Process Optimization: Implement best practices to enhance logistics efficiency, reduce costs, automate the process and improve service quality.
  • Reporting & Communication: Maintain accurate records of shipments and logistics data. Communicate with internal teams, clients, and service providers to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in logistics or supply chain management, with supervisory experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of marine logistics, international trade regulations, customs procedures, and inventory management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
