The Opportunity
A prestigious, multi-generational Single Family Office (SFO) headquartered in Singapore is seeking an exceptional investment leader to serve as Managing Director, Asset Allocation.
As the architect of the family's long-term investment legacy, you will lead a high-performing platform of 30+ professionals across both Front-Office Investment and Middle/Back-Office Operations. This is a rare, high-stature hybrid mandate that demands the intellectual rigor of a Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) combined with the agility, discretion, and entrepreneurial spirit of a premier private investment platform.
The Role: Strategic Orchestration & Ecosystem Leadership- Total Portfolio Strategy: Oversee a sophisticated global multi-asset strategy, balancing long-term strategic targets to navigate macro cycles.
- Institutional Frameworks: Implement world-class investment governance (mirroring SWF, Pension, or Endowment standards) to ensure capital preservation while capturing alpha across diverse liquidity profiles.
- GP Relationship Mastery: Leverage a deep global network to secure first call access to top-tier Private Equity funds, co-investments, and direct secondary opportunities.
- Ecosystem Representation: Act as the firm's primary representative within the Singapore and global financial ecosystem. You will foster critical relationships with regional regulators, peer family offices, and institutional partners.
- Trusted Advisory: Serve as a high-touch advisor to the Principals and the IAC, translating complex market dynamics into actionable, high-conviction investment themes.
- Operational Stewardship: Provide strategic leadership to both the investment and operations teams, ensuring a seamless, institutional-grade lifecycle from deal execution to settlement and risk reporting.
- 20+ Years of Distinguished Experience: A proven career path with significant tenure at a top-tier SWF, large-scale endowment, or global asset manager is essential.
- Multi-Asset Mastery: A verifiable track record of delivering superior risk-adjusted returns through various market cycles, with deep expertise in complex portfolio construction.
- Global Network Advantage: An established, ready-to-use network of Tier-1 GP relationships and industry titans.
- Leadership Gravitas: Natural ability to lead a sizable multi-disciplinary team and the emotional intelligence to influence and partner with very hands-on Principals.
- Ethics & Discretion: Demonstrates the highest level of ethical standards and absolute discretion qualities essential for representing a prominent family in high-stakes negotiations and global markets.
- Academic Excellence: Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) from a leading global institution; CFA or CAIA designations are highly preferred.
