Job Description
Credit operations- Oversee the entire Credit Operations cycle managing the execution, booking, maintenance and other related activities linked to the finance cycle to meet Company and customer expectations.
- Monitor and manage the Credit Operations section setting overall direction, process flows and standards to manage the team in meeting KPI and operational targets.
- Supervise the execution of daily tasks to ensure segregation of duties with adequate checks and balances, control measurements built in, timely provision of services and TAT adherence.
- Keep track of performance metrics, analyse bottlenecks and take corrective action implementing solutions to optimize performance.
- Oversee and support the Executive Credit Operations to ensure that all the activities, procedures and processes related to Credit Administration meet the operational targets and are carried out in accordance with Company policy and procedures and Central Bank and Sharia requirements.
- Monitor and ensure the safe custody of the credit files and charge documents by enforcing and maintaining flawless controls over the documents safety and release with the enforcement at all times of dual control.
- Oversee and support the Assistant Manager Credit Operations to ensure that all the activities, procedures and processes related to Credit Payments meet the operational targets and are carried out in accordance with Company policy and procedures and Central Bank and Sharia requirements.
- Monitor the credit payments ensuring that all the post-dated cheques are processed promptly, and direct debit authorities are set up timely in accordance with standard operating procedures, in compliance with the Companys policies.
- Monitor and ensure that all payments and customer information files are updated accurately in the system.
- Oversee and support the Assistant Manager Credit Operations to ensure that all the activities, procedures and processes related to Disbursement meet the operational targets and are carried out in accordance with Company policy and procedures and Central Bank and Sharia requirements
- Monitor the disbursement activities covering application approvals, supporting documentation and any re-scheduling and re-structuring is carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures, in compliance with the Companys policies and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and ensure that all post-disbursement activities are completed, and customer files updated and that all customer requests and enquiries are handled in a timely manner.
- Guide, direct, develop, motivate and manage the performance of all direct reports in line with the Performance Management System to assist in the realisation of their potential and to enhance their knowledge-based skills.
- Maintain a strong Credit Operations team through ongoing professional development, with sufficient knowledge, skills, experience and professional qualifications, to keep the team current in emerging trends and best practice.
- Propose and agree staffing plans and financial budgets including the number of staff within the Administration, Payments and Disbursement units while ensuring that the team meets current and future needs in numbers, competencies, motivation and performance.
- Ensure timely submission of internal MIS reports and external reports and financial statements to the UAE Central Bank Risk Bureau in line with the Financial Reporting Framework (FRF 74).
- Review existing workflows and suggest procedures and automation features with IT systems to enhance the efficiency of the process flow and controls and develop the required procedures.
Collaborate with head of Credit and other department heads on all credit operational matters.
Education/Qualification- Bachelors degree ideally with major in Accounting, Finance, Banking.
- A minimum of 10 years banking operations experience of which at least 5 years in credit functions in a major bank or financial institution in the UAE.
