Our client is a UK-based global testing and advisory firm. They specialize in independent testing and advisory services across the Middle East.

About the Role

A SHEQ Software Platform Expert oversees the implementation, configuration, training, and continuous improvement of software platforms used for SHEQ management.

They work closely with QHSE managers, IT teams, and operational leaders to ensure the platform supports regulatory compliance, incident tracking, audits, corrective actions, risk assessments, and document control.

Duties and Responsibilities

System Expertise & Problem Solving
  • Function as the SHEQ software platform expert, addressing system-related issues and improving overall user experience.
  • Collaborate with SHEQ software platform providers to implement system updates, enhancements, and troubleshoot technical challenges.
Structure & Data Integrity
  • Maintain the laboratory organizational structures within the SHEQ software platforms to ensure accurate escalation paths and data communication.
  • Collaborate with data owners to verify data accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with SHEQ processes.
  • Assist in the integration of newly acquired businesses and alignment to a unified SHEQ software platform.
  • Reporting, Analysis & Visualization
  • Create and implement standardized processes for data reporting and analysis within the SHEQ platforms.
  • Develop data visualizations to support decision-making and effective management of SHEQ functions across the business.
  • Collaborate with SHE and Quality leadership to enhance data quality and platform utilization.
Training & User Enablement
  • Develop and maintain training materials and documentation for users of the SHEQ software platforms.
  • Deliver training sessions and support to end users to ensure effective system adoption and usage.
Document Control & Compliance
  • Use the SHEQ platform to manage and control business-critical documents, ensuring compliance with document control requirements and regulatory standards.
What are we looking for
  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Information Systems, Safety Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 37 years of experience in SHEQ or QHSE systems administration, software support, or digital compliance roles.
  • Experience with SHEQ platforms such as Intelex, Enablon, Cority, Sphera, IsoMetrix, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), audit processes, and document control systems.
  • Excellent data analysis and visualization skills using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or native SHEQ dashboards.
  • Strong communication and training delivery skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
