Purpose
The role is responsible for ensuring recruitment and selection processes are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner in line with industry best practices.
Main responsibilities
Manages the process of recruitment and selection for the airline including but not limited to obtaining MRFs for the position; preparing, reviewing and updating job descriptions, placing advertisements; coordinating with recruitment agencies, universities, institutes to source qualified candidates; screening, short-listing applications and interviewing candidates to assess suitability.
Ensures quality and standards of recruitment are being adhered to. Short-lists applicants based on skill sets and competencies for the role, coordinates and assists line managers in the selection process.
Interviews personnel for positions and recommends suitability to senior management. Conducts relevant assessment centers where required.
Prepares test materials for different roles and administers tests for the purposes of selection and/or development. Ensures personality assessments are conducted for senior positions.
Assists the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist by monitoring adherence to budgeted manpower costs across all airline activities. Reviews justifications for exceeding budgeted manpower requirements and makes recommendations to the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist.
Assists Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist in preparation of weekly/monthly recruitment status reports which are forwarded to the HHR and heads of department. Ensures SLA on recruitment is being adhered to. Ensures HODs are kept aware at all times on the status of recruitment for their respective departments.
Ensures all documents and approvals are obtained before offering employment to selected candidates. Ensures salaries and benefits administered are within the approved grade band structures and the policies of the airline. Maintains and updates HR records so as to ensure completeness, validity and accessibility of recorded information.
Coordinates the joining process for all newly recruited staff i.e. on employment visas requirements, travel, residence stamping and all other regulatory requirements. Coordinates with the recruitment and admin coordinators to ensure the processes are run efficiently.
Undertakes HR related projects as and when directed.
Desired profile
Educated to a diploma or degree level, HR certification is an advantage. 4-5 years work experience in HR or a similar role. Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. Skill in Arabic would be an advantage. Computer literate and familiar with MS-Office Suite.
