Position purpose
The logistics transformation manager is responsible for defining and implementing, together with key functional stakeholders, the roadmap to evolve Sephora's logistics footprint in the region in support of business growth. This role involves a strong project management responsibility and oversees the entire life cycle of projects from definition to post-implementation.The logistics transformation manager acts as the gatekeeper of logistics best practices and processes across the region. This includes, but is not limited to, preparation of tenders and SLAs with logistics service providers, omnichannel warehouse and distribution design, and 3PL management towards superior service at optimized operating costs.
The manager leads functionally indirect teams of key users, SMEs, and consultants and collaborates closely with external logistics service providers as well as internal customer service and demand & supply planning teams.
Key accountabilities- Design and deploy a roadmap to transform Sephora's logistics footprint in the region to support business growth.
- Manage project execution for all logistics vendor and/or site transitions across the region.
- Ensure project governance and risk management for all transition projects.
- Prepare tender packages for logistics service providers by defining scope, objectives, and key requirements.
- Collaborate and align with all regional and global stakeholders to ensure group standards and other functional requirements are met.
- Ensure adherence to legal, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to warehouse locations.
- Lead negotiation and selection of the most suitable logistics service providers.
- Manage tenders and transitions in a timely manner and within budgets.
- Oversee operational startup phases including training, stakeholder communication, and performance monitoring.
- Define and continuously improve service level agreements (SLAs).
- Degree holder in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, or a similar field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity with strong logistics operations and 3PL management expertise.
- Good understanding of the logistics landscape in the Middle East.
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to balance priorities, is resilient, dynamic, and results-driven.
- Able to make decisions in a complex and volatile environment.
- Needs to have excellent authentic communication and influencing skills and be energized by working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Managerial experience in logistics transformation or related fields.
