Data Governance Analyst (DQ focus)
Objective:
The Data Governance Analyst (Data Quality focus) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of organizational data by implementing and maintaining data quality standards and processes.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and rectify data quality issues, establish data quality metrics, and drive continuous improvement in data quality management.
Responsibilities:
Formulate a framework to identify critical data elements in alignment with the data governance framework.
Conduct thorough analysis and profiling of data to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies.
Collaborate with data owners and subject matter experts to understand data quality requirements and expectations.
Drive building of business glossary, data catalog and data quality rules repository.
Develop and implement data quality standards, guidelines, and procedures.
Design and implement data quality checks and validation rules to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Ability to conduct data quality checks when data is in transit and at rest.
Develop and implement strategies for account cleansing and data enrichment & collaborate with business units to define and execute data cleansing activities.
Establish and maintain data quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in dashboards & regularly monitor and report on the status of data quality, highlighting areas of improvement and success.
Escalate critical issues to management and work towards implementing preventive measures.
Serve as a subject matter expert on data quality issues and solutions & foster strong relationships with global stakeholders to support data quality initiatives.
Ensure adherence to data governance policies and standards related to data quality and drive a culture of data excellence within the organization.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in data
quality management.
