Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced land surveyor to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Reporting to the senior discipline engineers, the land surveyor is responsible for site surveys of control points and levels for a range of structures and construction elements, surveillance and testing of site activities to ensure compliance with the construction documents and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyse data to map land shapes for civil engineering and construction projects.
  • Conduct initial surveys and environmental impact assessments on potential sites to assess whether construction plans are workable.
  • Use surveying instruments and GPS to chart the exact coordinates of site features (geospatial measurement).
  • Review data to analyse and interpret site features (geomatics).
  • Monitor land movement and subsidence caused during the construction project or by natural processes (geomechanics).
  • Draft 2D and 3D drawings using computer-aided design software and other cartographic techniques.
  • Work closely with the relevant discipline engineer (i.e. civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, etc); they must record and supervise all the activities carried out by the contractor on site.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, land surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in land surveying.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software, survey software, total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, safety procedures, and quality control.
