Summary of Role:

The Social Media Manager at Afnan Perfumes will play a critical role in enhancing our brands digital presence across all social media platforms. This role is ideal for a creative, organized, and proactive individual with a strong background in the beauty industry and a passion for storytelling.

The manager will be responsible for end-to-end social media operations from setting up and managing multiple platforms to planning and executing content calendars, creating engaging content, managing communities. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in video editing, copywriting, community management, and proficiency in tools like Canva and Hootsuite (or similar).

This position is based in Ajman, UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Planning & Calendar Development:

  • Plan, create, and maintain monthly content calendars aligned with marketing campaigns and brand objectives.
  • Conceptualize creative ideas and ensure content is engaging, visually appealing, and resonates with the audience.
  • Write copy and craft compelling captions and hashtags that align with the brands tone and campaigns.

Social Media Account Management:

  • Open, set up, and manage brand presence across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, Reddit, Twitter, and more.
  • Schedule, post, and monitor content, ensuring consistency in tone and visuals.
  • Set up and maintain social media management tools like Hootsuite or other platforms for efficient scheduling and reporting.
  • Ensure all accounts remain active, optimized, and aligned with platform best practices.

Content Creation & Design:

  • Use Canva to design high-quality visuals for posts, stories, campaigns, and reels.
  • Edit videos for use across different formats and platforms.
  • Create mood boards for campaigns and collaborate with the creative team for advanced designs.
  • Stay updated on trends in the beauty and fragrance industries to keep content fresh and relevant.

Community Engagement & Management:

  • Respond to audience interactions, DMs, and comments in a timely and professional manner to foster community engagement and loyalty.
  • Monitor sentiment and flag any issues or opportunities to management.

Analytics & Performance Monitoring:

  • Use analytics tools (Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics, etc.) to track social media performance and prepare regular reports.
  • Measure the success of campaigns, identify areas for improvement, and optimize accordingly.
  • Stay informed about the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to maintain competitive positioning.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management, preferably within the beauty or luxury industry.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to craft engaging and brand-appropriate captions.
  • Video editing proficiency for short-form and platform-specific formats.
  • Proficiency in Canva and familiarity with tools like Hootsuite or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple platforms and priorities simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices.
  • Experience in community management and influencer campaign coordination.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics and trends.
