Key Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate HVDC converter designs, system performance, and Control & Protection systems, including guiding colleagues and reviewing their work on various studies such as AC Network, SSTI Studies, Stability Studies, Dynamic Performance studies, and TOV Ride-through Studies.
- Provide expert support and advice to the Control & Protection team during Factory System Testing, including setting control and protection parameters to meet grid code requirements, conducting "expert testing" of control systems, and assisting the team with client testing, including evaluation and explanation of test results.
- Participate in System Tests during Commissioning, ensuring correct execution and addressing unexpected issues by reviewing event records, tracing causes, proposing, and implementing necessary corrections.
- Support and mentor the Control & Protection team during Factory System Testing and Client testing, focusing on expert testing and troubleshooting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in HVDC converter design, system performance evaluation, and Control & Protection systems.
- Expertise in dynamic performance studies, AC Network studies, SSTI, stability studies, and TOV Ride-through studies.
- Strong background in Factory System Testing, expert testing of control systems, and client testing procedures.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues during system commissioning and testing.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
