Director of AI
Job Description
We are seeking a Director of AI to drive enterprise-wide strategy and digital transformation initiatives. This is a high-impact leadership role, working closely with executive leadership to shape and deliver cutting-edge AI solutions that create real business value.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the organisation's AI strategy aligned to business objectives
Lead end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives (from concept through to deployment and optimisation)
Build and mentor high-performing AI and applications teams
Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics across business functions
Establish AI governance frameworks, ensuring responsible, secure, and compliant use of data and technology
Drive adoption of AI-driven solutions and champion an innovation-first culture
Develop business cases, ROI models, and executive-level reporting for AI investments
Manage relationships with technology partners, vendors, and external stakeholders
Requirements
10+ years of experience in AI, data science, digital transformation, or automation
Proven track record delivering large-scale AI/ML solutions with measurable business impact
Strong understanding of AI technologies (Machine Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, Generative AI)
Experience leading and scaling technical teams
Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate technology into business value
Degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field (preferred)
Cloud/AI certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, ML Ops) are advantageous
