We are currently recruiting a Senior Credit Analyst (Underwriter - BAF) for our client based in Dubai, UAE

Job Summary:

The Senior Credit Analyst (Underwriter) is responsible for underwriting Business Loans and Mortgage Loans in line with the Bank's Retail Credit Policy. The role involves taking key credit decisions, approving highvalue transactions within delegated authority, and reviewing deviation and restructuring cases for further escalation.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Credit Appraisal

• Underwrite credit applications as per approved credit policies and within Delegation of Authority, ensuring minimal errors.
• Maintain high productivity while ensuring quality and compliance in all assessments.
• Analyse credit data, financial statements, and business performance to evaluate risk.
• Generate and interpret financial ratios using analytical tools (e.g., Perfios).
• Evaluate applications considering borrower character, repayment capacity, business conditions, capital structure, and collateral.
• Conduct Dedupe checks for assigned applications.
• Initiate field visits as required to validate business credibility.
• Identify and escalate potential fraudulent activities.
• Submit deviation and restructuring cases to the delegated authority for decision.
• Communicate credit decisions to the front-end team via email or preapproval letters.

1. Customer Service Excellence

• Ensure timely completion of cases within defined TAT.
• Maintain full compliance with SLAs agreed with Business teams.

1. Compliance & Audit

• Adhere strictly to Operational Risk and compliance guidelines.
• Ensure full compliance with policies, statutory requirements, and internal procedures.
• Maintain at least a Satisfactory rating in internal audits with no highrisk findings.
• Resolve audit observations within the stipulated timeframe.

1. Other

• Conduct field visits
• Interact with Perfios and other verification partners
• Processes approximately 3 BAF applications daily as a maker.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (minimum requirement).
• 4-5 years of underwriting experience in credit-related roles.
• Strong written and spoken English; Arabic preferred.
• Sound knowledge of banking operations, policies, statutory requirements, and market conditions.
• Strong command of business software, particularly spreadsheets.
• Strong credit and financial analysis capabilities.
