With an aggressive profitable growth strategy, we are actively looking for an experienced Senior Logistics Officer to join our MENA team, reporting to the General Manager and leading a small Logistics team, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Overview/Summary:

Accountable for all logistic duties for MENA region throughout the supply chain cycle of our products to regional customers; from bidding phase through to products delivery to the destination as per relevant Incoterm agreed. This role ensures seamless coordination with outsourced warehouses, freight forwarders, and internal teams, while supporting logistics execution through efficient material handling, timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and cost-effective solutions.

Be the focal point of contact with regional customers for all logistics related matters.

Main Responsibilities:

 A.  Inventory Management & Analysis, Warehouse Co-ordination & Stock taking:
  • Own and lead the end-to-end Inventory Governance, Controls & Systems and accuracy across MENA operations
  • Design, enforce and continuously improve inventory control processes, reconciliation mechanisms, and work with the warehouse for SOPs.
  • Serve as the point person to investigate, document and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring SAP and WMS alignment.
  • Lead regular cycle stock counts, annual audits, and publish reconciliation reports including variance analysis and action plans.
  • Maintain strong oversight over third-party warehouse providers; review SLA compliance and initiate corrective actions when deviations are observed.
  • Work with the sales, and operations teams to ensure advance shipment notices, volume forecasts and loading plans are proactively shared with the warehouse team
  • Supervise warehouse activities to ensure compliance with Combas policies and third-party warehouse SLAs
  • Plan and monitor warehouse inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Co-ordinate with our warehouse & freight forwarding agencies on shipment, inventory, invoices and transportation.
  • Coordinate with WH on a planned schedule for the approved materials releases for collection by the customer or its subcontractors
  • Accountable for timely issuance of Delivery Note (DN); effective coordination and monitoring of transportation
  • Review and validate DNs before and after posting to SAP
  • Timely update and maintain SAP database and the ICP / DNs tracker with signed DNs
  • Arrange transportation services for all customer orders to ensure materials are delivered as per schedule
  • Review all customers purchase orders against delivered materials
  • Review all invoices submitted by logistics partners and provide project-sites codes and opportunity numbers
  • Utilize logistics software / management system to optimize procedures
  • Handle customer orders and arrange stocking of equipment as per customer demands
  • Accountable for accurate record-keeping of warehouse stock, executed orders, etc.
  • Responsible for handling Return Material Authorization (RMA) and sharing information with HQ team
  • Accountable for timely and cost-effective renewal of warehouse contract and insurance

(B) Shipment Management & Pricing for Bids Operation:

B.1 Shipment Management:

  • Co-ordinate with the HQ logistics team for all international shipment and advise on necessary action
  • Work closely with our partners/agents to sort out all customs duties, taxes, certification, and verification in compliance with governmental agencies
  • Provide competitive sea & air freight rates, and in-land transportation.
  • Co-ordinate and monitor supply chain operations:
  • Align with customers shipping procedures and provide required documentation.
  • Provide lead time, ETD and ETA to customers, and provide regular update on transit status.
  • Review all the shipping documents as such Invoice, Packing list (PL), Certificate of Origin (CO), HBL/AWB, etc.
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
  • Due assistance for custom clearance as and when required
  • Process Customs duty payment and MOFAIC Attestation for new inbound

B.2 Bid Operations / Shipment Pricing:

  • Provide shipment cost to sales and bid management teams for RFQ/RFP responses and proposals to our customers, as per incoterms requested;
  • Liaise with HQ Business Units for products packaging list and loading plan to calculate possible volume per container and shipping cost.
  • Co-ordinate with HQ logistics team for pricing of shipment.
  • Capability of working with forwarders to provide prices independently (without HQ assistance).
  • Be the single point of contact for all logistics pricing-related queries from all internal departments.

(C)Reports, Statistics & Analysis:

Produce accurate and timely formal reports, such as:

  • Weekly & monthly inventory reports
  • Weekly order release report
  • Weekly SAP entries
  • SAP and ICP / internal tracker reports as per strict monthly deadline
  • Weekly shipment report
  • Bill of Entry (Customs clearance documentation)
  • Regular formal updates to the regional management; Powepoint presentations + written & verbal updates

Key Competencies:

  • Advanced excel skills is a MUST with excellent proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong track record of inventory discrepancy resolution, warehouse audit practices, and escalation handling
  • Working knowledge of warehouse agreements, logistics SLAs, and legal terminology associated with delivery disputes
  • Experience in SAP inventory modules, WMS is a plus
  • Prior experience managing third-party warehouses and resolving inventory disputes
  • Knowledge of warehouse and logistics compliance practices in the MENA region
  • Experience in drafting SOPs, control checklists, and reconciliation templates3
  • Familiarity with delivery documentation processes (DNs, PODs, customs clearance)
  • Familiar with telecom equipment logistics (e.g., towers, fibre optics, BTS, etc.)
  • Proven data analysis skills
  • Excellent team management, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent tasks or escalations
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to logistics challenges
  • UAE driving license preferred
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic is an added advantage

Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 57 years of logistics, supply chain, or operations experience, preferably in the telecommunications or technology industry. 3+ years of which in the UAE
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role managing logistics operations and personnel
  • Proven experience in handling international shipments, customs clearance, and vendor coordination in the UAE/GCC
  • Strong knowledge of UAE import/export regulations, customs documentation, and freight handling procedures
