Job Summary-
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Retail Manager with a strong background in the health and wellness retail sector. The ideal candidate will support daily store operations, lead and motivate the team, deliver excellent customer service, and ensure product knowledge and visual merchandising meet brand standards.
Key Responsibilities-- Assist in managing all daily retail operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and staff scheduling.
- Provide excellent customer service and product guidance tailored to individual wellness goals.
- Supervise and train store staff to ensure consistent high performance and product knowledge.
- Support inventory management: receiving, stocking, rotating, and auditing.
- Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising in line with health & wellness branding.
- Handle customer queries, returns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Help achieve monthly sales targets and KPIs.
- Monitor stock levels and work with suppliers and the Store Manager to manage orders.
- Stay up to date with health and fitness trends and product knowledge (e.g., proteins, supplements, beverages).
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements -
2+ years of experience in a retail assistant manager or supervisory role, preferably in a healthy. food/beverage or wellness store.
Passion for fitness, nutrition, and healthy living.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Customer-focused with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with POS systems, inventory software, and retail reporting tools.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
