Your role

You will be part of our contract logistics team adding your expertise and skills to the planning of our distribution operations. You will be a key member of a dynamic operational team that is responsible for the efficient execution of distribution in order to achieve all agreed financial and operational objectives.

• Work closely with both warehouse and distribution teams, ensuring efficient transport plans are produced in line with timelines and customer requirements.
• Assist in achieving key performance indicators (KPI) in the areas of cost management, productivity, customer service, and profit.
• Have access to state-of-the-art systems and tools, to continually challenge the status quo to deliver improvements.
• Support all activities relating to customer onboarding, retention, and operational excellence; collaborating with others as required.
• Actively support new initiatives focusing on continuous improvement at all times, meeting or exceeding productivity targets.
• Contribute information when required for reporting and performance management.

Your role

Additionally, the role involves prioritizing key national accounts where Kuehne and Nagel can secure locally billed business, supporting prepaid traffic operations, and overseeing tender documentation, rate communication, and RFQ responses.

• Actively maintain and develop own client portfolio and sell Kuehne and Nagelu2019s services across business units.
• Maintain and develop close business relationships with client(s) and important stakeholders across industries.
• Develop existing and future customer base, delivering business growth with both current and new key account clients.
• Prepare and review the key account plan in line with the development directions of the company's professional organizations and the entire companyu2019s budget plan.
• Assist in the annual preparation of tender documents for companies managed by the department, and actively participate in the escalation management of these companies.
• Coordinate client life cycles such as business development, implementation, business reviews, and results.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality services to clients in cooperation with internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the wider sales and business unit organizations on sales plans to develop and increase the Kuehne and Nagel market share.

• Proven experience within a sales, key account, business development, or any similar field and in the Abu Dhabi market.
• An in-depth understanding of the logistics business environment.
• Business development and relationship management skills.
• Highly customer-focused with an ability to build partnering relationships at senior levels.
• Ability to prioritise and organise work while handling multiple projects at the same time.
• Innovative with the ability to adapt to new technologies and develop new skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus and a strong advantage.
