Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
We are looking to hire an Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for supporting cost planning, estimation, and commercial activities across fitout projects for our client based in Dubai - which is one of the largest companies in the region.
This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 7 months and is renewable.
The role sits within the Corporate Planning Department (Cost Engineering Unit) and reports directly to the Head – Cost Engineering.
Key responsibilities:
Support cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities across multiple fitout projects
Prepare project estimations using available design and briefing documents
Assist in managing and maintaining cost databases to support decision-making
Provide commercial and contractual support, including review of contractor correspondence
Support evaluation of contractor claims and variations
Contribute to project reporting, including budget tracking, timelines, and performance indicators
Assist in identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure cost efficiency and compliance
Knowledge, skills & experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
3–5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and cost planning
Experience in commercial and contractual management within construction or fitout projects
Familiarity with estimating tools such as CostX or equivalent
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD
Understanding of contract administration, variations, and project cost control
Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills
Middle East project experience is preferred
