Real Estate Leasing Consultant

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and engage with prospective tenants, both in person and via phone/email
• Conduct property tours and highlight features and benefits of available units
• Assist applicants with leasing paperwork and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate
• Perform background checks, credit checks, and reference verifications
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available inventory, pricing, and market trends
• Coordinate lease renewals and move-in/move-out processes
• Ensure leasing office, model units, and common areas are presentable and welcoming
• Meet leasing targets and occupancy goals as defined by management
• Maintain accurate records using property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio)
• Address tenant inquiries and resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
• Prior experience in leasing, sales, or customer service is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and leasing regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if property tours off-site)
