JOB ADVERT: Technical Research Analyst
Job Summary:
Al Ramz Capital L.L.C is seeking a Technical Analyst to join our growing team.
This role will assist the Head of Technical Analysis in preparing daily and weekly technical analysis reports on market-listed and potential companies, sector and market indices in order to make recommendations regarding investment strategies and trading opportunities in the MENA, GCC and global markets.Develop professional technical screeners. Proactively research and stay abreast of trends and news within an industry, such as corporate information/disclosures, market activities, mergers and acquisitions, competitive position, and financial stability of organizations and make objective assessment of their impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quantitative Tools and Techniques
Provide support in the development and utilization of quantitative tools to produce timely and relative reports for various end-users and development of quantitative and fundamental investment management processes. Build a model technical portfolio for other markets outside UAE.
- Research and Statistical Consultation
Explore the MENA markets for short-term or intraday trading opportunities. Provide informational or statistical response through data gathering, organizing, and analyzing relevant data, tables, graphs, and charts. Review reports, papers, memos, or articles and summarize it into various formats that can be by different stakeholders.
Assist traders in the utilization of models, tools, systems and research techniques.
- Report Management
Review narrative and statistical information received from internal and external sources. Assist in the writing of statistical studies, narrative reports, and articles for publication which may include summary tables, graphs, and charts.
- Research Product Development
Develop research product tailored for all investors/clients of Al Ramz.
Qualifications and experience:
- Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in finance, Banking, Economics or Statistics.
- Desirable: CETA, CFT or CMT level 1
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience as a technical analyst in a financial institution.
Competencies or Skills:
Functional- Basic knowledge and passionate about financial markets
- An understanding of the regulatory environment SCA, ADSM and DFM rules and regulations would be desirable.
- Good analytical, quantitative, judgmental, and interpretative skills.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in Arabic and English
- A fair understanding of various technical and fundamental research techniques
- Excellent presentation skills in English.
