Job Description
As a Senior Relationship Manager you will play a pivotal role in expanding and managing a portfolio of SME clients by delivering customized trade finance and working capital solutions. Reporting to AVP & Manager- SME Coverage you will focus on fostering deep, trust-based client relationships, gaining insight into their financial goals, and providing structured trade finance offeringsincluding letters of credit, bank guarantees, supply chain finance, and commercial loansto enhance liquidity and streamline operations.Success in this role is driven by proactive relationship management, effective cross-selling, prudent credit risk management, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
What You&aposll be Doing:
As a key member of our SME Banking team, youll play a pivotal role in driving client success and business growth. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Build and sustain strong relationships with SME clients by deeply understanding their trade cycles and working capital needs
- Analyze clients cash flows to craft and deliver working capital optimization strategies
- Manage and grow your portfolio of SME clients to meet and exceed annual business targets
- Provide tailored banking solutions through in-depth analysis of clients&apos business models and financial requirements
- Identify and leverage opportunities to cross-sell relevant SME banking products including POS Lending, Asset-Backed Lending, Supply Chain Finance, and Cash Management
- Drive revenue generation while maintaining robust credit quality
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals with detailed financial and risk assessments
- Monitor client portfolio health, flag early risk indicators, and implement timely risk mitigation tactics
- Ensure seamless and compliant renewal and restructuring of credit facilities
- Collaborate with internal teams across Credit, Operations, and Compliance to ensure smooth service execution
- Proactively resolve client queries to uphold exceptional service quality and strong retention rates
- Stay informed on evolving market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments
- Use insights to deliver proactive client advisory and uncover new business opportunities
- Strong understanding of SME banking in the UAE and lending products
- Expertise in credit analysis, financial statements, and lending structures
- Ability to interpret financial documents (P&L, balance sheets)
- Knowledge of UAE regulatory environment and corporate governance standards
- Familiarity with digital banking platforms and financial technology solutions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal abilities and relationship-building mindset
- Strategic thinking with solid commercial acumen
- Sales-driven attitude with proven closing capabilities
- High ethical standards and integrity
Qualifications
What We&aposre Looking For:
- Education: Bachelors degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred)
- Experience: 710 years of experience in SME Banking, including business development and relationship management. Proven track record of closing SME deals and managing complex credit relationships in the UAE or GCC region
