Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Procurement Engineer role based in Dubai. The Procurement Engineer will manage end-to-end procurement activities for electromechanical materials and services, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing.Responsibilities include identifying and qualifying suppliers, preparing and evaluating requests for quotation (RFQs), negotiating commercial and technical terms, and issuing purchase orders in line with project requirements. The role will involve close coordination with engineering, project management, and finance teams to align procurement with technical specifications, budgets, and timelines.
The Procurement Engineer will also monitor supplier performance, maintain accurate procurement records, and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and cost optimization.
Qualifications- Strong supplier management capabilities, including Supplier Evaluation and vendor qualification.
- Proficiency in procurement processes, including Request for Quotation (RFQ) preparation, comparison, and follow-up.
- Experience in generating, reviewing, and tracking Purchase Orders within ERP or procurement systems.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to assess pricing, total cost of ownership, and technical compliance.
- Effective Communication skills for working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant experience in procurement within MEP, electromechanical, or construction projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
- Familiarity with HVAC, district cooling, water treatment, or similar technical systems is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities (BOQs).
- Strong negotiation, time-management, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ethics in procurement.
