Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist

Job summary

This role is essential in maintaining the integrity and performance of our software solutions through meticulous testing and process improvement.

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements.
• Execute manual and automated tests to ensure the software created meets the business requirements.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality from inception to delivery.
• Conduct regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, and usability testing.
• Maintain and improve existing automated test frameworks and contribute to new automation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with QA standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide QA metrics and reports to management for continuous improvement.
• Stay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in QA and testing methodologies.
• Mentor junior QA team members and lead by example in delivering high-quality results.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
• Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress).
• Proficiency in bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Mantis) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
• Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD processes.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
