About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Concierge Department, the Concierge Supervisor is responsible to help the Chief Concierge to supervise the Concierge team who provides luxury services to all guests and colleagues. The Concierge Supervisor will have the best knowledge of Dubai, providing personalized recommendations and arrangements that enhance the overall guest experience.

Concierge Supervisor reports to Chief Concierge.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead, train, and supervise the Concierge team, managing daily operations, schedules, performance, and adherence to FLHSS&E standards.
  • Provide a warm and personalized welcome to guests, engaging in meaningful conversations to capture preferences and enhance guest profiles.
  • Assist guests with directions within the hotel and provide accurate travel information for destinations outside the property.
  • Respond promptly to all guest requests and needs, coordinating services such as transportation, deliveries, and reservations.
  • Monitor valet parking and contracted limousine services, ensuring quality control and suggesting improvements as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest activities, stay informed on hotel events and local happenings, and collaborate closely with the Front Office and PBX teams.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years experience in a 5-star hotel and at least 2 years in a Concierge role within a luxury environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, GoConcierge, and Hotsos; pre-opening experience is a plus, and prior work in Dubai is essential.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
  • Proven ability to understand and anticipate guest needs, delivering superior customer service with professionalism and care.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills, with a track record of effectively managing and inspiring a team.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced setting, with the physical ability to stand for extended periods and work varied shifts.
