Job Description

As a Key Account Manager - Healthcare, you will focus on developing existing clients, as well as supporting new business leads by identifying, implementing and executing new strategies and solution development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Account Development Existing Customers:

  • Operate as the primary point of contact, for key account stakeholders ; Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
  • Ensure execution of account plans. Lead monthly/ quarterly customer review meetings, ensuring that their needs are being met and that excellent customer service is achieved and developing future services for the customers.
  • Work with various departments (Customer Service, Warehouse, Quality and Projects) to resolve any contractual or business development concerns with existing customers.
  • Work alongside with the Managing Director, to execute pricing strategies for the new and existing accounts.
  • Contribute to the development of the customer&aposs SOP, to ensure the highest level of service is provided to the customers.

Business Development New Customers:

  • Support the Managing Director, Regional Healthcare Sales Teams and Key Account Managers on customer sales pipeline development ; Providing support in the meetings, commercial offers and RFQs .
  • Crucial role throughout the complete customer cycle from customer acquisition (Responsible) to implementation (Sponsoring projects and stakeholder management) and Account management (stakeholder management, upsell and solution development).
  • Representing the company externally e.g. in customer meetings, networking events and exhibitions to enhance and strengthen the companys profile and optimize all business development opportunities.
  • Data Analysis and KPI monitoring of all data related to successful or unsuccessful business opportunities.

General:

  • Serves as a liaison with all other internal departments in the resolution of accounts issues and solution development.
  • Responsible for top line setting of financial targets and budget development and monitoring (e.g. monthly forecasting)
  • Responsible for analysis of top line development, identifying root causes of bad performance, or new opportunities

SKILLS:

  • Bachelor&aposs degree in any discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of work experience within the logistics sector, including working at the management level (experience in business development/direct contact with customer/3PL contract logistics experience is essential)
  • Experience handling either of the following products is an added advantage: Pharma, FMCG or Cold Chain products
