System Analyst
Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Systems Analyst is responsible for optimizing and enhancing the technology systems to support core business operations in the groups financial services business verticals. This job involves collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement systems that improve efficiency, manage client assets, and ensure regulatory compliance.The Systems Analyst also maintains system performance, troubleshoots issues, and ensures data security.
Responsbilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new systems, enhancements, and integrations.
Analyse existing systems and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
Design technical solutions that align with the business goals, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with industry standards.
Lead and manage projects related to system upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and external vendors, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, timelines, and status reports.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for financial systems, ensuring their optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, working with IT teams and vendors as needed.
Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and implement necessary updates or patches.
Oversee data management processes, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security across all systems.
Develop and generate reports for management, highlighting key metrics, system performance, and business insights.
Collaborate with data analysts to design and implement data-driven solutions that support business decision-making.
Ensure that all systems and processes comply with industry regulations, such as SEC, FINRA, and GDPR.
Work closely with the compliance and risk management teams to assess and mitigate risks associated with system vulnerabilities.
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive financial data.
Act as a liaison between IT and business units, facilitating clear and effective communication.
Conduct training sessions and provide user support to ensure stakeholders are proficient in using systems and tools.
Prepare and present technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.
Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.
Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 to 7 years working experience in a similar role.
Proven experience within the financial services or wealth and asset management industry.
Experience with financial systems such as portfolio management, trading platforms, CRM, or ERP systems.
Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
