Position Summary
The Application Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team in promoting and developing innovative solutions in the Fluid Power technologies (Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Instrumentation, Fluid Connectors).
Responsibilities- Technical Support: Providing technical assistance to the sales team, helping to understand customer needs and present appropriate solutions. Provide technical expertise to sales forces and customers to solve performance/quality issues.
- Solution Development: Collaborating with customers to develop customized solutions that meet their specific requirements in the Fluid Power field.
- Continuous Training: Acquiring practical technical skills on products and applications, ensuring that the sales team is informed about the latest products innovation and solutions from Divisions. Provide technical training of customers and distributors in Fluid Power products
- Collaboration: Working closely with Sales team members and other business functions to deepen understanding of Parker's offerings and market dynamics.
- Professional Growth: Actively participating in projects, contributing to continuous professional growth and the success of the company.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably in mechanical engineering, fluid engineering, or a related field).- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of Fluid Power principles, including hydraulic and pneumatic circuits. Understanding of electro-hydraulics control systems will be a plus. Familiarity with Fluid Power products and applications.
- Experience: 2-3 years (including internships) in technical or engineering roles, preferably in the Hydraulic, Oil&Gas, Energy sector or similar industrial contexts.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze technical problems and develop effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Customer Orientation: Attitude to understand customer needs and provide adequate technical support.
- Teamwork Skills: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and design.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to work on various projects and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Languages: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required, especially in international contexts. Arabic is a plus
