Within this segment, we are seeking a Product Engineer for Commissioning & Operations – Global Data Center. This position owns the global service product strategy and roadmap for commissioning and operational services within Eaton’s Global Data Center Segment.The role is accountable for defining standardized, scalable, and digitally enabled service offerings that support system commissioning, integrated testing, and ongoing operations across regions.
Positioned within the Post Order CoE for the segment, this role ensures that Eaton’s commissioning and operations services evolve in alignment with the BrightLayer Data Center (BLDC) roadmap, enabling consistent execution, automation, and differentiation at scale.
What you’ll do:
Global Service Product Ownership- Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of service products related to commissioning and operations, from concept through deployment and evolution.
- Define and maintain a global roadmap for:
L3/L4 integrated testing (off‑site and on‑site)
Digitized commissioning workflows
Operational service execution models
- Ensure offerings are globally consistent while allowing for regional regulatory and execution requirements.
- Specify service requirements for digital tools, automation, and platforms that enable commissioning and operations.
- Partner with BrightLayer and digital product teams to ensure service execution needs are embedded into platform capabilities.
- Drive standardization, automation, and data visibility across post‑order service activities.
- Lead through influence across engineering, digital, operations, quality, and regional service teams.
- Act as the primary product interface between post‑order execution and product/digital organizations.
- Align stakeholders around clear service definitions, priorities, and outcomes.
- Works closely with EHS leaders to ensure Safety is enbibed in each process and standardization
- Helps to drive right training matrix for Field Service team ensuring the right capabilities are in place to correlate with Commissioning and operational procedures
- Define success metrics for service products, including quality, repeatability, scalability, and customer value.
- Support global launch readiness, lifecycle governance, and continuous improvement.
- Incorporate customer and field feedback into roadmap decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- 8+ years of progressive experience product management, service product management, commissioning, operations, or systems delivery within complex industrial, digital, or infrastructure environments.
Skills:
- Experience in data centers, mission‑critical infrastructure, power systems, or large‑scale capital projects.
- Experience in data center, mission‑critical, or infrastructure field services.
- Exposure to digital platforms, automation, or software‑enabled service models.
- Experience working across EMEA, with exposure to Americas and APAC operations.
- Familiarity with global framework agreements, long‑cycle projects, and multi‑region execution models.
