My client a leading real estate developer is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager to support the Design Team in delivering large-scale, high-profile real estate projects across Abu Dhabi.The successful candidate will assist in managing design deliverables, coordinating between internal teams and external consultants, and ensuring that all design activities are aligned with the developer's vision, quality standards, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Design Manager/Director in overseeing the full design life-cycle of mixed-use, residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.
- Coordinate with internal departments (Development, Commercial, Construction, Marketing, etc.) to align design requirements and project objectives.
- Liaise with external consultants, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities to facilitate design approvals and milestones.
- Track and manage design submittals, comment resolutions, and approval workflows using project management tools.
- Maintain and update design schedules, reports, and documentation to ensure alignment with overall project timelines.
- Support in the preparation and review of RFPs, design briefs, and consultant scopes.
- Assist in managing design change processes, risk registers, and design-related value engineering exercises.
- Attend design and coordination meetings, document decisions, and follow up on actions with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with local codes, developer standards, and sustainability requirements (e.g., Estidama, LEED).
- Provide administrative and operational support to the design team as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5 - 8 years of experience in a design coordination or project support role, ideally with a developer, consultancy, or architecture firm.
- Previous experience in the UAE or GCC real estate sector is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of design management processes, consultant coordination, and project delivery frameworks.
- Familiarity with local building codes, planning regulations, and sustainability standards in Abu Dhabi.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and project management software (e.g., Aconex, Primavera, MS Project).
- Basic understanding of design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite) is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor with a proactive and collaborative approach.
