Head of Finance

Job Description

This role ensures that group-level financial standards, controls, and policies are effectively implemented and adhered to across all Reload subsidiaries, while delivering value-added insights and financial leadership to support the growth and operational excellence of the Reload business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the financial strategy and execution for the Reload Group in alignment with the business lines commercial goals.
• Act as the primary financial advisor to the Reload Group CEO, providing strategic financial guidance and commercial insight.
• Coordinate with the Shareholder and Group Finance to ensure risks and financial processes specific to Reload are understood and addressed.

• Ensure compliance and alignment of all Reload subsidiaries with group-wide finance policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain internal control frameworks, working with country finance teams to mitigate risks and enforce good governance.

• Oversee financial reporting for the Reload Group, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful reporting to the CEO and Group Finance. Consolidate subsidiary reports into a cohesive view of the Reload Groups financial health, aligned with IFRS and local GAAP standards.

• Act as a key financial counterpart to external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, partners, and regulators.
• Collaborate closely with the commercial and operational teams to ensure financial insights inform business decision-making.
• Foster strong working relationships with country finance managers, ensuring a unified approach to financial planning, reporting, and compliance.

• Support the Group Treasury in managing Reload Group liquidity and cash flow across all countries of operation.
• Monitor and optimize intercompany flows, financing needs, and working capital requirements.

• Champion continuous improvement of finance operations across Reload entities, including automation, standardization, and digitalization.
• Oversee the implementation and systems development and financial tools as required by group policies.

• Experience 8+ years experience within financial roles, preferably in a logistics or international trade environment.
• Track Record Proven track record of making solid collections and managing finance teams as a Head of Finance or Finance Manager.
• Communication Skills Confident communicator who engages effectively across all level, from finance teams to senior executives.
• Analytical Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability not only to identify and resolve issues, but also to challenge the status quo, question assumptions, and drive smarter, more effective ways of working.
• Travel Willingness and ability to travel extensively across key markets in Sub-Saharan Africa (up to 1 week per month).
