Collections Officer (Arabic)
Job Description
We are looking to hire a Collections Officer who will be responsible for recovering overdue payments while maintaining positive relationships with customers, reducing bad debt, and minimizing financial losses due to non-payment for our client based in Dubai- which is one of the largest companies in the region.
This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 6 months and is renewable.
The role sits within the Finance Department and reports directly to the Senior Manager -Collections.
We are looking for a passionate Collections Officer, you should also have experience in providing customers with accurate information regarding their outstanding debts and verifying accuracy of account information before pursuing collections.
Key responsibilities:
- Debt Collection Reach out to customers with overdue accounts through phone, email, or mail. Negotiate repayment arrangements or settlements to recover outstanding debts, and process payments while ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Communication- Provide customers with accurate information regarding their outstanding debts. Maintain a professional and courteous tone while handling inquiries or disputes. Document all communication with customers for future reference.
- Compliance -adhere to all applicable laws, policies, and protocols related to debt collection. Ensure privacy and confidentiality of customer data.
- Research & Investigation Identify customers who have relocated or updated their contact information and confirm the accuracy of account details before initiating collection activities.
- Reporting -generate reports on overdue account status. Update management on collection activities and results.
- Customer Service- Offer solutions to customers facing financial difficulties. Recommend payment plans or refinancing options where applicable.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Bachelors degree in finance or related field in the UAE.
- 23 years of collection experience, preferably in real estate.
- Solid understanding of finance functions and processes.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills and high attention to detail
- Patience, resilience, and problem-solving ability.
- Customer focus process excellence, and execution focus.
- Availability:
- Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or a maximum 30 days after accepting the offer.
