Senior Category Manager - Construction

Job Description

The goal is to drive commercially valuable business outcomessuch as increased revenues, reduced costs, and minimized riskby ensuring that the procurement of goods, services, concessions, and works is executed in a timely manner and in accordance with the company's guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in strategic Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance or Law.
• MCIPS or equivalent certification.
• Minimum10 years of experience in Category Management/Strategic Procurement
• Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives and implementation of data analysis concepts.
• Experience in category management and procurement best practices. In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, processes, and tools.
• Extensive negotiation experience related to both commercial and contractual matters.
• Experience in leading and managing a team of procurement professionals.
• Experience in managing relationships with senior stakeholders with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels of an organisation.
• Experience and ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
• Experience of managing teams & developing staff.
• Aviation or similar experience as the assigned categories or spend/revenue.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Extensive knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft products and experience with ERP/sourcing systems
