dnata Airport Operations' vast ground handling operations successfully service the major global hub that is Dubai International Airport. We deliver a seamless experience from check-in to baggage delivery for more than 80 million passengers and 140 scheduled airlines annually.

dnata is seeking an experienced Operations Performance Manager to support our Cargo operations by driving operational excellence and implementing strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President Cargo Operations UAE, this role will focus on improving safety, quality, and productivity while identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce waste across the business.

This is a full-time role based in our Dubai office.

In this role you will:

  • Lead cross-functional projects to optimise operations performance in collaboration with business units and HQ functions.
  • Implement key OneDnata initiatives including Operational Best Practices (OBP), Business Resource Planning (BRP), and World Class Operational Performance.
  • Monitor service quality, analyse KPIs, and collaborate with Operations Managers to address and resolve performance shortfalls and improve processes.
  • Produce and review monthly performance reports, recommending corrective actions where needed.
  • Develop and circulate performance indicators (KPIs) to encourage accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct operational audits and evaluations to support new business growth opportunities.
  • Attend cargo and ground handling forums to share best practices and industry innovations.
  • Implement governance and best-in-class processes across procurement, resource management, and supply chain operations.
  • Drive standardisation of customer experience and safe service delivery across dnata Cargo.
  • Oversee risk management and data processes to ensure compliance and performance improvement.

Qualifications & experience

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably industrial engineering) or a relevant field.
  • 8 years + experience in cargo operations.
  • Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt qualification.

You'll have an edge if you have:

  • Strong background in operations, safety, and performance management within the aviation or logistics sector.
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives across teams and drive measurable improvements.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in using business intelligence tools (e.g., MicroStrategy) and managing data-driven insights.
  • A proactive leader with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced analytical / data management skills.
  • Experience in oversight and monitoring.
  • Commercial, training and quality assurance knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments.
  • Advanced presentation skills.
  • Excellent professional writing skills.
