Our farm hosts a variety of educational, community, and corporate events, and we are looking for a motivated Operations Manager to operate our tourism department, which includes our restaurant, retail shop, visitor fields and our events department.

As an Operations Manager you will be reporting to General Manager, managing the tourism department (Public Access) of Emirates Bio Farm, Including the village and the fields and all sections within them (Food and Beverage, Retail, Play areas and public access fields and facilities).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management & Leadership: Ensure proper staff planning and resourcing are maintained. Lead the team to ensure that all operations are executed smoothly. Supervise efficient work of staff, volunteers, and temporary hires as needed.
  • Budget Management: Track and manage budgets, ensuring costs are kept within allocated amounts and that operations are conducted efficiently.
  • Activities Setup & Execution: Oversee setup on the farm for Event department requirements. Ensure all logistics are executed according to the plan.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety protocols, especially when managing large crowds, outdoor activities, and handling agricultural equipment.
  • Customer Service: Ensure customer communications are efficient and all customer complaints are handled on time and operations are up to customer and visitor standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with general office software (MS Office, Google Workspace).
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with diverse groups of people, including farmers, vendors, corporate clients, and local community members.
  • Physical capability to manage outdoor spaces
  • Must be available during major events, including weekends.
  • Valid driver&aposs license.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations or hospitality/event management.
  • Experience managing events in rural, agricultural, or outdoor settings.
  • Familiar with farm operations or eco-tourism is a plus.
  • Experience in managing both small-scale (local farm tours) and large-scale (festivals, trade shows) events.
  • Experience working with government agencies, educational institutions, or community outreach events.
