VP of Design and Technical

Job Description

An exceptional opportunity for a seasoned design and technical leader to drive the vision, execution, and delivery of high-profile real estate developments. This role will lead all design and technical functions, ensuring projects are innovative, commercially viable, and delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all architectural design, master planning, and technical development across a diverse real estate portfolio (residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and commercial).
• Define and implement design strategies aligned with the company's brand, market positioning, and long-term vision.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from concept design through to construction and handover.
• Collaborate closely with development, investment, sales, and marketing teams to ensure projects meet commercial objectives and market demands.
• Drive value engineering, cost optimisation, and design efficiency without compromising quality.
• Oversee external consultants including architects, designers, engineers, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
• Introduce innovation and best practices in design, sustainability, and construction methodologies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing design and technical teams.

Key Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience in design, architecture, or technical development within real estate.
• Proven leadership experience managing large-scale, mixed-use or luxury development projects.
• Strong background in both design excellence and technical execution.
• Experience working across all project stages from concept to completion.
• Deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost structures.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align design with financial performance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
