Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve monthly individual revenue targets as assigned by the Department Head.
- Generate, develop, manage, and retain key corporate accounts and assigned market segments through proactive sales activities, including sales calls, client meetings, site inspections, and entertainment.
- Drive business across all hotel revenue streams, including Rooms, Corporate Accounts, Food & Beverage, Banqueting, Conferences, and Events.
- Ensure complete sales coverage of assigned market segments while delivering exceptional client service and relationship management.
- Develop and execute sales action plans aligned with the hotel's commercial objectives and revenue strategy.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Conduct hotel show rounds and presentations for prospective and existing corporate clients.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, industry forums, and community functions to generate leads and strengthen market presence.
- Build and maintain strong corporate relationships to enhance brand visibility and secure long-term business partnerships.
- Participate in daily business review meetings, pre-convention meetings, and other sales-related operational activities.
- Prepare accurate monthly sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence updates.
- Ensure compliance with all company sales policies, SOPs, and corporate guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments and the sales team to maximize market penetration and customer satisfaction.
- For Senior Sales Manager and Sales Manager positions, provide guidance, coaching, and motivation to team members to achieve departmental objectives.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- Senior Sales Manager – Corporate: 5–6 years of progressive hotel sales experience, preferably within the Corporate segment.
- Sales Manager – Corporate: 3–5 years of progressive hotel sales experience, preferably within the Corporate segment.
- Assistant Sales Manager – Corporate: Minimum 3 years of relevant sales experience in a 5-star hotel environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, sales processes, revenue management, and local market dynamics.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key corporate accounts.
- Experience using Opera PMS and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong local market knowledge and an established network within the corporate sector.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills will be an advantage.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and capable of performing effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
PREFERRED MARKET EXPOSURE:
Candidates with at least 1 year of experience handling business from the following areas will be highly preferred:
- Jebel Ali
- Dubai Investment Park (DIP)
- Dubai Internet City (DIC)
- Dubai Media City (DMC)
- Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT)
SEGMENT EXPERTISE (HIGHLY PREFERRED):
Strong business development experience in one or more of the following segments:
- Corporate Accounts
- Sports Teams & Events
- MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions)
- Airlines & Aviation Crew Business
- Long-Term Stay / Extended Stay Accounts
